--> Kane's basic personality is mostly intact: he's generally calm, somewhat quiet, and fairly pleasant to whoever he speaks with. The main change is that he's far more passive when younger, more likely to follow behind Dante than lead or strike out on his own. He feels uncomfortable without Dante around him, Dante having become somewhat of a comfort for him, and while he feels safe in DMC or in the town, anywhere that has an uncomfortable sense about it makes him start to tremble and get jumpy.
--> The trauma from being broken mind and body by the demons is still very fresh in his mind. Because of that, being helpless or restrained causes Kane to panic immensely, lashing out with his power until he can free himself. He's accidentally cut or hurt Dante more than once as a result of his panic attacks, though he has gotten better about controlling them.
--> He is far, far more ignorant about human society and how things work. This ranges from the obvious things, such as not understanding how law or prisons work, all the way to being so oblivious that he doesn't even understand what idioms or comparisions mean half the time.
--> His love for Dante is intense and still new, so many things Dante does causes his heart to flutter. He's good at hiding it. Most of the time.
--> He also tends to sleep with Dante a lot, mostly out of Dante's own horniness. Not that he's unwilling: Kane has high stamina and is as sexual a being as anyone else, and he adores being a part of that with Dante, even if he's always the one on the bottom. It's simply that he doesn't feel the need for it as often as Dante does, so he lets Dante take the lead.
